Wise Self Psychology

INGA CURRY, PHD

About Me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with training in cognitive-behavioral treatments, as well as mindfulness-based therapies. I also have extensive training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a therapy that helps with exploring different parts of oneself. My clinical work and therapy experience focus on areas such as trauma, depression, and anxiety. However, I also enjoy working with people who need help clarifying their therapy goals, need some assistance navigating their romantic and social relationships, or want to introduce more mindfulness to their day-to-day experience. I enjoy working with people of diverse backgrounds and various walks of life, this includes veterans and active duty servicemembers and their families. My specialty is in trauma treatment, particularly adults with childhood trauma.

My research and published work focuses on areas of depression, trauma, self-regulation, self-efficacy, alcohol use risk factors, and impulsivity.

On a more personal note, I am bi-cultural and bi-lingual (English and Lithuanian) and can particularly identify with the experiences of immigrating to the U.S. from Eastern Europe.
